With this still in our memories from last years visit
we spent weeks prepping Abigail for another, more successful, visit this year. We even made a "practice" visit to Santa and just sat and watched the children sit on his lap.
This year, she agreed to just stand by him.
She even said "cheese".
And... need we say more?Note: Lucy was a champ through the whole thing.
Abigail recovered quite nicely...the chocolate helped.

Nicholas did the same thing : ) We took him to three different Santas and we made progress by the last one (he was holding onto my legs and peeked around to tell Santa what he wanted). Maybe next year, we'll make it to the lap : )
We have some friends with 3 girls. The oldest is in Kindergarten and this year was her first year sitting on Santa's lap. They were so excited for her, they bought the $15 picture of it! She'll make it one day:) Your girls are adorable!!

Oh, Abigail. I have yet to put my kids on Santa's lap because I have no doubt it would be equally tramautizing--I'm a pessimist like that I guess. Here's the another try next year?!
This is totally what happened to us this past year. I got 'em all dressed up and ran down to see Santa and wouldn't you know it, Penny Lane and Lucy screamed their heads off! Peter was okay with it all, he had a candy cane:) I don't know that we'll ever get that Santa picture. The girls are adorable! Happy New Year!
