After 2 years of walking Abigail to her preschool classes the time had come for Lucy to go to preschool herself and she couldn't have been happier. Seriously. This girl walked in and hasn't looked back. The day before her school started Lucy and I were making cookies for her teachers and Abigail came to sit on the counter. Lucy immediately let it be known: "No Abigail. These are for my teachers. You already made your teacher cookies. This is just my turn now."
She was so excited for her first day!
Even though her bag is basically as big as she is--she usually insists on carrying it in herself.
First Day Pictures in her "first day of school dress" she picked out and her very first pair of "school shoes".

Her Assistant Teacher
We are both already in love with her teachers. They are kind and caring and absolutely wonderful. They give Lucy a hug each day and fill her hours at school with goodness.
Having Lucy "leave me" has been bitter-sweet--I'm missing my little helper, but seeing how happy she is time we arrive at her preschool also fills me with joy. I am so thankful we live in a place where she can go to a preschool and sing songs about God's Love for each child, say a prayer before snack and lunch, learn Bible stories throughout the week--all while learning letter sounds and how to interact with others. What a blessing Lucy is and what a blessing this preschool is!

That is one pretty, little preschooler. I'm so glad that she is finally getting to be a big girl--it must make her SO happy.
I swear she looks JUST like Abigail but with blonde hair in that top picture. What a cute girl! Glad she is having fun.
